This policy explains how you can ask SYNNEX BUSINESS PVT LTD (“Synnex Group”, “we”, “us”) to delete your personal data. It applies to data collected through https://www.synnexgroup.com/, our event websites and our events, and it supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. Your right. Under applicable law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to delete your personal data when it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for, or when you withdraw your consent. You can also ask us to stop sending marketing communications at any time.
2. How to request deletion. Email [privacy email, e.g. info@synnexgroup.com] with the subject “Data Deletion Request”, or write to [Registered Office Address]. Please include:
- your full name, email address and phone number
- the organisation and event(s) you dealt with, if relevant
- whether you want all your data deleted or only certain data, such as marketing emails
3. Verification. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, for example by replying from the registered email address, to protect your data from misuse.
4. What happens next. We will acknowledge your request within [3] business days and complete it within [30] days of verifying your identity. We delete or anonymise your data from our systems and ask our service providers to do the same. We will confirm in writing once it’s done, or explain if we need more time or can’t complete it in full.
5. Data we may need to keep. We may retain certain data where the law requires or allows it. This includes invoices and tax records (under GST and accounting laws), records needed for legal claims or disputes, and a minimal record of your email address so that we respect your opt-out. We keep only what is necessary and delete it once the requirement ends.
6. Published material. We will remove your details from our own channels where reasonably possible, such as speaker listings and event photos or videos. We can’t control copies already shared by third parties or printed material already distributed.
7. Backups. Data in backups is removed in the normal backup cycle, usually within [90] days, and isn’t used for any other purpose in the meantime.
8. Unsubscribing. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link or by emailing us.
9. Complaints. If you’re not satisfied with how we handled your request, contact [Grievance Officer Name] at [email], who will respond within 15 days. You may also approach the Data Protection Board of India once it is operational.
